米軍基地で活動するアメリカ連盟（BSA）のカブスカウトと日本連盟（SAJ）所属のカブスカウトとの交流にローバースカウトの立場から補佐として参加した。日米連盟の交流は僕自身の国際スカウト交流の大きなきっかけの1つで、ボーイ隊の時に参加したBSAとの交流キャンプにて生活文化の違うスカウトたちと出会い、さらに国境を越えた先にいるスカウトに興味を持った経緯がある。僕にとって日米スカウトの国際交流促進は、近所の仲間との友情を厚くさせるだけでなく、さらなる国際交流への興味を作ることでもある。
I participated in a one day event, held in Ikego Base, which jointly held Scouts from both the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Scouts Association of Japan (SAJ). What kick started my love for cultural exchange was the opportunities to interact with Scouts from the BSA. To be able to learn about the differences in lifestyle and overall culture through many BSA-SAJ joint camps is why I am so passionate about promoting Internationalism.
